FCE is an upper-intermediate level exam for people who can use everyday written and spoken English and is an ideal to those who use English for work or study purposes.
What will FCE do for you?
Getting an FCE certificate is an achievement and a reward in itself. However, there are many other benefits to taking FCE:
- an FCE certificate is valid for life
- FCE is an internationally recognised qualification for business and study purposes
- thousands of employers, universities and government departments officially recognise FCE as a qualification in upper-intermediate English.
- FCE gives you a pathway to higher qualifications such as the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
The examination fee for FCE in 2014 is about £130 per candidate.
At ISE we offer a fully flexible timetable for FCE, where you can study from 6 hours per week, 9 hours per week, 15 hours per week or 21 hours per week. Anna Moroney is our Assistant Director of Studies who specialises in teaching and delivering the FCE curriculum.
ISE staff are trained to recognise students that are ready to pass the exam, we will make sure that your learning goals are realistic and that you are advised to only enter the exam when you have a strong chance of success.
Typically ISE will run FCE classes all year round in the morning (full time & part time) and the evening (part time only). However we also do specialist FCE exam workshops and mock papers just before the exam, to help students achieve the best possible results. FCE classes are held in both ISE Brighton and ISE Hove at different times of the year. ISE reserve the right to operate the FCE classes in either of the ISE branches and cannot guarantee that they will be in any one branch in particular.
