IELTS English Courses in Brighton – Full & Part-Time Exam Preparation

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication.

Most universities ask for an IELTS score of 6.0 / 6.5 to enter an undergraduate level degree. Please contact your prospective university to check on the IELTS level needed. IELTS is a useful qualification as it teaches specific skills of skimming, scanning and summarization.

Part Time: At ISE we offer IELTS afternoon classes of 6 hours per week all year round.

Full Time: We recommend students combine the IELTS classes with 15 hours of morning classes (21 hours total) to maximise their chances of IELTS success.

We also encourage all students of 12 weeks course or longer to work towards and take an IELTS examination.

We also offer IELTS private classes face to face and online all year round.

The IELTS examination fee for 2026 is £ 255 per candidate, depending on the centre booked. Please check with the IELTS website to select an exam centre.
