ISE Trainers are selected for their professional standards and wealth of experience. Typically an ISE CELTA course will have one main tutor, one supporting tutor for the duration of the programme. What sets ISE apart from other institutions is a pool of specialist visitng tutors, invited to give input on particular pedagogical issues.

Christine-Reba Edge: Academic Director: CELTA & CELTYL Assessor
Christine has been Academic Director of ISE for over 10 years. Previously she ran teacher training and ESOL courses as Head of Department at Westminster College, London. Christine is an UCLES Assessor for CELTA and CELTYL programmes, she regularly assesses teacher training courses both in the UK and overseas. Most recently she completed the inaugural CELTYL programme in Wuhan, China at New Oriental School.
Simon King: CELTA Trainer & Senior Teacher
Simon specialises in Cambridge examination classes and is very proud of students' success records. He is a CELTA teacher trainer and delivers various input sessions, as well as observes future English language teachers. He has worked in several countries including Iran and Saudi Arabia
Sandie Hampton: CELTA Trainer
Elena Pushkareva: CELTA Trainer and Assistant Director of Studies
Elena specialises in teaching English to basic literacy learners and is leading a 'complete beginner' class, working on letter shape formation, word shape recognition and reading/writing literacy. She is a CELTA teacher trainer and delivers various input sessions as well as using IWBs and QR codes for interactive lessons in the context of blended learning.
All trainers must meet strict criteria in order to be accepted as University of Cambridge ESOL Trainers. Assessor status is only conferred to trainers with sufficient experience and academic background to assess and moderate University of Cambridge ESOL Courses all over the world.
