ISE Trainers are selected for their professional standards and wealth of experience. Typically an ISE CELTA course will have one main tutor, one supporting tutor for the duration of the programme. What sets ISE apart from other institutions is a pool of specialist visitng tutors, invited to give input on particular pedagogical issues.

Simon has extensive teaching experience in the UK, Middle East and Far East. He is an established teacher-trainer with special interest in Examinations, grammar and language systems. At ISE Simon provides grammar enlightenment workshops, to facilitate grammar teaching in the classroom. Simon also teaches a regular EFL class, providing the opportunity to see him in action in the classroom.

Maureen Ranieri: CELTA & CELTYL Assessor
Maureen is multi-lingual and has worked in education for almost 40 years. She is a Cambridge ESOL CELTA, CELTYL and YL extension assessor. Italy is where she has worked for a long period of her teacher/teacher-training career, where she has been involved in CELTA, DELTA and CELTYL Teacher Training. However she has also set up CELTYL courses in Hong Kong, Geneva, Bahrain and Rabat in Morocco. She has also been the main tutor for CELTA courses in Geneva. Maureen is very interested in resources for EL and the implications of NLP in the classroom. She is an experienced and valued member of the team.
Anna Moroney: Input Tutor & Assistant Director of Studies

Anna has a wealth of experience teaching EFL, to both mono-lingual and multi-lingual groups. She is an accomplished trainer with special interests in grammar and examination preparation. At ISE Anna provides insights into using jazz chants in the classroom and bringing grammar teaching to life. Anna welcomes observers to both her lower level and higher level classes. She also advises on materials acquisition and production.
David Coulson: Input Tutor & Director of Studies

Having lived, taught and trained in Portugal for several years, David speaks fluent Portuguese, French & Spanish. His special pedagogical interest is using technology effectively in the classroom, he is currently reading for an MA TESOL. David encourages the use of kineasthetic activities in the class to cover all styles of learner and provides input on blended learning techniques.
All trainers must meet strict criteria in order to be accepted as University of Cambridge ESOL Trainers. Assessor status is only conferred to trainers with sufficient experience and academic background to assess and moderate University of Cambridge ESOL Courses all over the world.
