Intensive School of English (ISE Hove) is a family-run English language school in Hove, Brighton, one block from the sea. Since 1997 we have taught General English, IELTS and Cambridge First (FCE) courses to adults from around the world, alongside CELTA teacher training and English courses for children and teenagers. ISE Hove is a registered provider with the UK Department for Education (UKPRN 10043776) and a Cambridge English teacher-training centre (centre number 56108).

- General English classes: every weekday morning, 09:30–12:30, at Beginner (A0), Elementary (A1), Pre-Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2, Cambridge First) and Advanced (C1)
- IELTS preparation classes: every morning, 09:30–12:30
- Reading & Writing and private classes: every afternoon, 13:30–14:30
- Evening classes: twice a week, 18:00–20:00

About our school
ISE Hove is in the city centre of Brighton & Hove, one block from the sea. Our family-run school combines traditional classroom teaching with modern resources, including English–English dictionary sets in every classroom, student projects and guided research to help you improve your English. We teach British English, and our teachers are also familiar with American English and other varieties. All students can join our full social programme of activities.

English classes for children and teenagers
ISE Hove runs English courses for children all year round.
Our Boarding School Preparation Course is for students aged 11–16 and lasts from 4 to 24 weeks.
English summer school for children and teenagers
Young ISE is an English plus activities summer package for teenagers aged 12–17.
Over the summer we also offer English classes for children aged 8–12 and a Parent & Child English course for a child aged 8–12 studying alongside an adult.
Group English courses for agents, schools and teachers
For agents and school groups we offer mini-stay packages, specialist exam preparation and work-experience courses, so your students use their English in a real environment. We combine English teaching, retail vocabulary, social skills and project work so students see real improvement in just one week. To discuss a group booking, email our groups team.
